John Chase Photography

John Chase is the Vice-President of Torrance Artists' Guild. He has lectured on how to work your photos on the computer for submission to shows and competitions. John became interested in photography at an

early age. He was encouraged to explore the world through the lens and experiment as he saw fit. This exploration began with basic black and white work evolving into the use of color transparency film and Cibachrome printing. It wasn’t until 2006 with the maturation of digital photographic technology that John finally realized his photographic vision.

Since that time John has been inspired to explore his native California, producing images that express his love of the natural world and its harsh beauty. Since 2006, John has exhibited his work extensively, receiving recognition in juried shows as well as publication, including book and magazine covers.

John continues to seek out new locations in the quest of photograph whatever interests him. His photography is a journey of discovery, an adventure carrying him to a unique setting around the next bend in the road or somewhere beyond.
