We often think that we have to do big things to make big changes, but it’s actually the little things that create the largest shifts in our lives. To start shifting your perspective, you can begin by practicing any of the basic ideas below to start attracting positive change in all aspects of your life.
- Breathe deeply
- Smile often
- Speak with kindness and with truth
- Practice having a compassionate heart
- Do something to simplify your life
- When you find a penny, pick it up and read it, you’ll see that “In God I Trust” is a gentle reminder to hand things over to a higher power
- Start a Gratefulness Journal that you read every morning and every night
- Pay attention to your dreams
- Look at the sky, a flower, a tree, and take in the magnificent beauty that nature provides
- Always say “thank you”
- Take time to meditate, a few minutes a day will make a huge difference.
- Practice Random Acts of Kindness
- Hold a positive vision of yourself and others
- Listen deeply
- Try something new
- Take a small step towards your dreams
- Exercise – honor your body, it’s the only one you’ve got
- Drink lots of water
- Eat healthy (live food for high energy)
- Reach out to someone in need
- If you have an intuitive feeling, follow it
- Practice saying, “I get to” not “I have to”. It will change your whole perspective
- Send a hand-written card or letter to someone you care about.
- Look people in the eye
- Share your hugs freely and often
- Honor nature by picking up a piece of trash or doing something on its behalf
- Be kind to animals and all creatures
- Let go of something you have been holding onto that does not serve you
- Tell the people you care about that you love them
- Be kind to yourself, do something nice for you and appreciate who you are.
- Remember that life is about collaboration, not competition.
- Make a home-cooked meal and share it with family or friends. Go around the table and have everyone share three things that they are grateful for today.
